Condition
Overall the condition of the marble is good with wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is veining to the marble throughout consistent with the material, in particular to the proper right side of the face, the chest, and the proper right shoulder, and there are a few darker inclusions, including to the proper right shoulder. There are several minor scratches, including to above the proper left eyebrow, the proper left shoulder, the proper right side of neck, and throughout the chest. There is some particular dirt around the nose and mouth. There are minor chips and abrasions along the truncation of the bust.
The marble socle is in good condition with several chips and abrasions. There is veining throughout consistent with the material; some of the veins are slightly open, and a vertical open vein at the front appears to be partially filled.
