Description
- Pair of ornamental vases, two hat pins and a pendant with the Virgin and Child and Saint Clare
- Silver mounted on mottled yellow and white marble, partially gilt silver mounted with coral and pastes, partially enamelled gilt copper mounted with coral and silver filigree set with painted goldstone
- Italian, Sicily, 18th century
Condition
Overall the condition of the metalwork is good with wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are areas of tarnishing to the silver pieces and a few minor dents. Some ornaments may have been lost from the top of the larger hat pin. There are some scratches to the paint of the Virgin and Child of the pendant.
