Condition

Overall the condition of the wood is good with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some wear including craquelure to the polychromy throughout. It is possible that a few areas of polychromy have been refreshed, including the face. There is minor stable splitting to the wood, consistent with the material, including at the hair and the proper right heel and ankle. There is some evidence of past worming, notably to the hair at the sides and back. There are two dents to the polychromy above the proper right buttock and two overpainted chips to the proper left shin. There is a hole to the proper left ear. There is a short wooden rod to the underside of the proper right foot, connecting it to the base. There is splitting to the glass eyes. The wood base is in good condition with dirt and wear, including to the polychromy and gilding. A few of the joints of the base are slightly open. There is particular wear and dirt at the top.
