Condition
There is rubbing to the gilding, tarnishing and some greening to the surface of the pyx consistent with age and handling. There are late remnants of a silver-coloured pigment to the hinge, lock and inside. There are some dents and warping to the edges of the lid and drum and some scratches along the underside.
There is rubbing to the gilding of the corpus around the knees, knot of the drapery and face consistent with handling. There are some minor spots of greening to the areas around the hair, proper right shoulder, waist and proper left upper leg. The modern perspex cruciform stand is in excellent condition apart from a few nicks and scratches.
