  • silver gilt, set with a pearl
  • German, 15th century

Provenance

private collection, South-East England

Condition

Overall the condition of the silver is good with wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age with wear to the gilding throughout. The high points at the front, including the heads of the figures, have worn smooth with use. There are a few minor nicks and dents, including around the knees of St. Anne. The loop for suspension is at the reverse. The suspension ring attached to it is probably later. The pearl has some naturally occurring irregularities and inclusions and a few nicks around the silver mounts.
