Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is rubbing to the lacquer patina at the high points, notably the nose, torso and the thighs, and there are several surface scratches to the patina. There are a few minor hairline fissures due to casting flaws, including to the proper left leg below the knee and the proper left ankle. There are some minor areas of dryness to the patina, including to the spine and to the insides of the legs. There are a few nicks, in particular to the bronze terrasse. The bronze rocks forward slightly on an even surface. The marble socle is in good condition, with some dirt and wear. There is glue residue at the top, with which the bronze would have been attached to the socle. There is also a hole at the top. There are several chips and abrasions to the edges and corners. The socle is roughly hewn at the back.
