Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The bronze has recently been professionally cleaned and waxed. The bronze is cast in sections, and a few stable original joints are slightly visible, including to the proper right upper arm, the proper left lower arm, and the upper section of the cloak and club. There are a few very small lacunae due to casting flaws, including to the proper right upper arm, above the proper right shoulder blade, and slightly larger ones to the cloak at the front and the right side, and to the rock work. A few original casting pins are slightly visible, including to below the proper left knee. There is a loss to two of the finger tips of the hand behind the back, possibly due to a casting flaw. There is some rubbing to the lacquer patina to the high points, including the shoulders and the face. There are also a few minor scratches, notably to the legs. There is some warping to the bronze terrasse, as well as a few dents.
