  • Devotional pendant with the Virgin and Child
  • partially enamelled gold, set with reverse painted glass
  • Spanish, circa 1700
formerly with a relic on the reverse

Condition

Overall the condition of the pendant is very good with some wear and minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. The miniature is slightly loose in the setting and small sections of the paint have flaked, particularly the black background. The setting of the miniature has some small dents and tears. The underside of the gold frame has slightly split from the gold setting on the reverse. Some of the green enamel may have been refreshed.
