Description
- Two plaquettes with the Holy Family and the Virgin and Child with Saint Peter and Saint Paul
- partially gilt silver, in fabric covered frames
- North Italian, circa 1500 and 16th century
one with the Medici coat of arms
Condition
Overall the condition of the silver is good with wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling, with minor nicks throughout. The loop of the Virgin and Child with saints is warped and there is a loss top the top right corner of the lower frieze of the Holy Family.
The Virgin and Child with saints cannot be removed from the frame. There is some minor wear to the cloth on the frames.
