Description

  • Three gem-set rings
  • gold, one set with a sapphire and two with pink sapphires
  • European, 12th and 14th/15th century

Condition

Overall the condition of the rings is good with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age with some scratching to the gold. There are a few minor nicks and tears to the edges of the settings. The sapphire has a minute chip to its corner and some dirt in the crevices around it. The octagonal pink sapphire is probably a re-cut bead. The garnet may have been a later addition to the ring.
