Possibly in the collection of the Van den Dyck family, Sittard, Holland (according to the armorial on a red wax seal on the reverse).
Condition
The copper sheet is uncradled. The paint surface is secure and the colours are rich and vibrant. The paint surface is largely clean, although there is some minor yellowing present in the flesh tones. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals an uneven varnish and very few small scattered retouchings. Overall the work is in excellent condition.
This lot is offered in a molded gilt frame, with black painted floral decoration, in good condition.
