The canvas has a firm relining that very slightly pressed the paint surface. There are no major damages visible, and the varnish is even and only slightly discoloured, with some patches of oxidisation in the lower left at the back ground, and the lower right. The paint surface is stable with a few patches of wear where the canvas weave is visible, and craquelure is visible throughout. Inspection under UV light reveals very little as it fluoresces opaque. Only a few scattered spot retouchings are visible, although there may be earlier restoration underneath the varnish that is not visible to the naked eye. This lot is offered unframed.
