Condition
The painting is in good overall condition - it has been relined, and recently cleaned and varnished. There are two small areas of paint loss in the lower right corner, visible in the catalogue illustration. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals sensitive scattered retouchings to the sky and the mountains, right. The lower half of the canvas is almost entirely free of intervention. Offered in a gilt moulded frame in very good condition.
