  • Pen and gray ink and two shades of gray wash over traces of black chalk, on two joined sheets

Condition

Hinge mounted. The work is made up of two sheets joined in the left half. There is foxing throughout and some old repaired tears to the right, lower and left edges. There is a border of light brown discoloration to the four edges of the sheet and two old fold mark to the center and center right. The medium itself remains reasonably fresh throughout.
