Condition

Laid down and window mount covering edges of recto. Scattered foxing through the sheet, a larger brown stain near the lower margin in the center. An area under his nose and near the mouth where there appears to be a water stain. There are also areas in his hair where there appears to be water damage - perhaps during the counterproofing stage water made the red chalk run/bleed. Red chalk still vibrant and strong. Sold in carved and gilded frame.
