Catalogue Note

A similar but larger signed composition was sold Vienna, Dorotheum, 21 April 2010, lot 129. The painting's file in the Fondazione Zeri suggests that the landscape in that painting may have been painted in collaboration with another painter, perhaps Filippo Lauri or Nicola Malinconico, and the present work may similarly may be the work of more than one hand.
