Condition
The canvas has a recent relining and is covered by a thick old yellow varnish. The paint surface is secure. Inspection under UV light shows small repairs to lost paint and re-strengthenings throughout the background and still life. The largest of these is an area measuring 10 by 4 cm., to the left of the lady's face.
