From whom purchased by the late owners in April 1973, for 33,500 Deutschmarks.

Condition

The panel is uncradled, flat and stable with no signs of movement. The paint surface is dirty. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a thick varnish and some small retouchings in the sky, along the upper margin, in a patch of cloud in the centre, 6 cm., and along a scratch leading down from this area, 10 cm. long. This lot is offered in a plain wooden frame in good condition.
