Condition
The catalogue image is representative. The picture is in very good overall condition. The support is made of a single panel that is uncradled. The paint surface is stable and the varnish even and only marginally discoloured. There are no major damages visible to the naked eye. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals very little restoration and a cloudy varnish. The are some very old minor spot retouchings in the hull of the boat, in the darker tones of the cloud and some horizontal retouchings in the sky and water to minimalise the effect of the grain.
This lot is offered in a gilt, plaster and carved wood frame with only a few losses.
