Provenance
Believed to have been in the collection of the family of the present owners for at least 35 years.
Condition
The panel comes from a single plank and is cradled with lattice work. The paint surface is stable and the varnish is clear. There is an area of overpaint in the clouds to the right of the portico, measuring approximately 7 by 5 cm. There is also a small scratch in this area, with a pinprick loss of paint. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a rather uneven varnish and small spot retouchings in the foreground, in the portico and in the sky upper left of the portico. In overall good condition.
