Condition
Hinged to the mount at the lower margin. Made up at the lower left corner. Two water stains, one upper left margin the other upper right margin. A few other stains along the upper margin. Pen and ink remains strong and vibrant, overall in good condition.

This presentation drawing and preliminary sketch are for the tea urn in the gold service designed for Napoleon's sister-in-law, Hortense de Beauharnais, who married Napoleon's youngest brother, Louis in 1802.
