Description

  • PORCELAIN
four pierced stands on square feet, 18.8cm., 7 3/8 in. high, four pierced baskets on three paw feet, 11.3cm., 4 1/4 in. high, eight octagonal plates, 27cm., 10 5/8 in. diam., a set of three vases, 17.4cm., 6 7/8 in. high, three smaller vases, 15.5cm., 6 1/8 in. high, two large pedestal stands with moulded fluted bands at the foot, 12.3cm., 4 7/8 in. high, four pedestal stands painted with hanging garlands of acorn leaves, with pierced holes, 9cm., 3 1/2 in. high, two further pedestal stands, with painted fluted bands,  with pierced holes, 9.3cm., 3 5/8 in. high, and twenty three knife rests of moulded form surmounted with an acanthus leaf, sceptre marks in underglaze-blue, iron red stencilled globe and KPM marks, various impressed marks

Condition

The overall condition of this service is good, one of the smaller vases has a restored chip to the rim, another has an old broken repair to the rim. Otherwise typical minor scattered rubbing and surface scratching to the gilding. For all sales which take place on or after 1 February 2015, please note that the rate of buyer's premium for each lot (charged as a percentage of the hammer price achieved for that lot) has been revised and shall be calculated at the thresholds set out below: Buyer's premium is 25% of the hammer price up to and including £100,000; Buyer's premium is 20% of the hammer price on any amount in excess of £100, 000 up to and including £1,800,000; Buyer's premium is 12% of the hammer price on any amount in excess of £1,800,000. As stated above, the revised thresholds are effective as of 1 February 2015.
