the first, rectangular with waisted sides, wave and spotted decoration overall, scroll thumbpiece, dated 1767, maker's mark of Johann David Ziegler and Vienna mark; the second, rectangular with cut corners, decorated overall with bright-cut engraving representing countryside houses and mills within formal rose borders, maker's mark AK, date mark, both with silver-gilt interior

Condition

the first: split to top left top corner, repair to bottom of base. the second overall good condition and crisp engraving. date letter partly legible.
