  • A silver-gilt and ivory tankard, German, circa 1880
  • Ivory, silver-gilt
  • 30.5cm., 12 in high
carved with a a hunting scene in Troubadour style, the handle formed as a mythological beast, ivory button finial, the silver-gilt lid and base embossed and engraved with masks and fruits, later Dutch import mark

Condition

few splits to feet, handle loose, a few holes, haircracks and patches of restoration to ivory. decorative object.
