Condition

Thomas Hargreaves: This miniature is well preserved, the colours remained strong. Around the extreme edges there has been some very minor paint losses.There is a small amount of further paint losses on the sitter's dress. Miss Annie Dixon: This work is well preserved, there is some small surface dirt, which could be attached to the inside of the glass. A la maniere de William Egley; this work is well preserved. There has perhaps been some minor fading. Ecole anglaise: This work is well preserved there is some flaking to the pigments at the extreme lower, and lower left of the ivory.
