The colours of this miniature are very well preserved. The ivory has cracked to the left of the sitter.

Il nous a été suggéré que les décorations portées par le modèle seraient le ruban ainsi que l’ordre de Saint Anne de Munich. Cet ordre a été fondé en 1784 et était décerné à des femmes catholiques qui avaient effectué d’importants actes de charité.
It has been suggested that the sitter may be wearing the ribbon and badge of the Order of Saint Anne of Munich. The Order was founded in 1784 and was awarded to Roman Catholic ladies who performed outstanding acts of charity.
