Condition

Henry Burch: This work has been well preserved. The thicker pigments on the sitter's coat have dried out somewhat. John Bogle: This miniature has several areas where the pigments has been lost, some of the definition in the sitter's hair has disappeared. The miniature may have been out of its glass at some point. The blue glass on the verso has cracked in one place. Thomas Hazlehurst: This miniature is well preserved.
