Condition

The painting sits on its original canvas, from Vallé et Bourniche, successeur de Belot. The middle part of the frame has slightly marked the canvas (visible close-up, under direct light). Under UV light, one can observe a small repaint by the figure, in the water on the left, a repaint on the path in the lower right, and small repaints scattered in the sky. Small cracks are also visible. The composition is in generally good condition.
