A small scratch is visible in the middle of the composition in the upper part.
Under UV light, two small repaints are visible.
The visual in the catalogue looks more contrasted than the painting is.

La composition est très proche de celle de La Mare aux Vaches près du Dormoir, reproduit dans l'ouvrage de Pierre et Rolande Miquel, Narcisse Diaz de La Pena (1807 – 1876), catalogue raisonné de l’œuvre peint, Paris, 2006, n°101, p. 20 et qui fut exposé à l'Exposition Centennale de l'Art français à Paris en 1900.
