Condition

Hinged to backing at left side. With various pencil inscriptions relating to provenance, some illegible, on the reverse. Repaired tear upper left side. Some slight surface dirt, but general condition very good and fresh. Sold in an antique carved and gilded frame.

Ce dessin, très achevé et raffiné, peut être comparé à une Etude de pêcheur conservé à Bruxelles (Musée Royaux des beaux-arts de Belgique) ainsi qu'au Pêcheur du Courtauld Institute of Art (D.1952.2W.1455).
