Catalogue Note

Mary Dudley was the daughter of Governor Joseph Dudley and Rebecca Tyng; her sister Katherine married Governor William Dummer, and her sister Rebecca the son of Judge Samuel Sewall and Hannah Hull.  Mary herself married first Francis Wainwright, and secondly Joseph Atkins, a former officer with the Royal Navy.  The couple lived and were buried in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
