  • Silver, enamel, glass
  • length of largest 3 5/8 in.
  • 9.2 cm
comprising two scent bottles with bird finials, one with portrait of Maria Gunning, the other with later finial, and a scent bottle case with two portraits.  Together with a needle case painted with flowers and gilt sprigs with thimble terminal, circa 1775.  4 pieces.

Condition

scent bottle with portrait with some minor cracks to enamel and gilding retouched along base- not neat; second scent bottle with small chip to enamel below top; scent bottle case with some wear to enamel at edges; needle case with gilding rubbed in spots, minor cracks and one small loss to enamel
