The arms on the cover are those of York impaling Lascelles, for Richard York of Wighill Park, co. York, b. 1778 D.L., Lt. Col. High Sheriff 1832 and his wife Lady Mary Annne Lascelles, youngest daughter of Edward, 1st Earl of Harewood. He died in 1843.
