Condition

Please note that this tureen is illustrated in Elinor Gordon, Collecting Chinese Export Porcelain, p. 98, plate 85. Both sauce tureen and cover have expected minor wear to the gilding and enamels. Both ears to the large tree shrew have been restored. There is a small chip to the applied tendril. Otherwise, the sauce tureen and the cover are in good condition.
