Condition
The canvas is not lined. Close examination reveals networks of stable hairline craquelure in the light background in the upper left and some pinhole losses near the centre of the lower edge. Under UV light, several zones fluoresce, most notably on the right figure's hair, right cheek and neck, and on her hands. There is also inpainting on the chin of the left figure, and on her dress. Minor areas also fluoresce along the lower edge, on the back of the sofa, and around the flower vase. Otherwise this work remains in overall good condition.
