informing him that Amelangsche Kunsthandlung would like to sell and exhibit his work, enquiring after an exhibition in Copenhagen, stating that when he has money he will soon come to Berlin, bringing with him his prints, and reporting that he has influenza and will be travelling to Berlin in three days' time

4 pages, oblong 8vo, on correspondence cards, annotated by the recipient (?), modern annotation in pencil to each letter, together with a later envelope from the Berlin gallery of Gerd Rosen, Aasgaardstrand, 30 October 1904 and [Aasgaardstrand], 13[?] November 1904, ring-binder holes affecting the text in one place and covered over on the address-panel sides

1904 was a signal year for Munch. The artist signed a contract with the Berlin publisher and gallery owner Bruno Cassirer for the German sale of his graphic work and another with the Hamburg Galerie Commeter for his paintings.
