comprising two autograph letters signed, one to the editors of the Neues Wiener Journal, and three typed letters signed, including to the London Deutscher Pen-Club, criticising an article in which he is reported as finding his son Klaus's work too immoral to bother with, referring to the latter's play Anja and Esther, noting that he is no 'mother superior', wondering who is responsible for spreading the fairy tale of his supposed worthy lack of understanding with regard to his son, describing the death of his brother, the writer Heinrich Mann, commenting on the shamefully ignored existence he led in America, discussing, among other matters, Alexander Korda's film option on The Magic Mountain, and responding to the sending of a report on one of his lectures
