Catalogue Note
Wier (or Weyer) originally published his medical book as Medicarum observationum rararum liber I (Basel: Oporinus, 1567). It contains chapters on pleurisy, quartan fever and scurvy; "his discussion of the clinical signs and treatment of scurvy is among the best of the period" (Eimas, p.111).
