Catalogue Note
The Second Symphony (the "Resurrection Symphony") is one of Mahler's greatest and best-loved works. The photographs of Mahler at the Hofoper in Vienna, taken by the Successionist photographer Moritz Nähr (1859-1945), are classic images of the composer.
