Catalogue Note

A popular arithmetical text, first printed in 1526 and regularly reprinted; it was a revised version of his earlier Libro de abaco (1517). This is most likely the third edition. "Feliciano's second work was highly esteemed as a textbook for schools... More complete than the Treviso book, more modern than Borghi, more condensed than Paciuolo, few books had greater influence on the subsequent teaching of elementary mathematics" (Smith, p.148).
