Condition

The sheet is affixed to the mount with three tabs at the upper horizontal edge and one tab at the lower horizontal edge. The sheet appears sound. There are small strips of tape which has been added by the artist along each of the edges, only visible when viewed out of the frame. There are several pinholes at the centre of the upper horizontal edge, only apparent when viewed out of the frame, and thought to be inkeeping with the artist's working method. There is a small repaired tear to the sheet, measuring approximately 2.5cm, to the central right area of the sheet. There are two vertical scratches, with associated losses to the paper, in the bottom right corner, with several smaller scuffs to the left of this along the lower edge of the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition with strong vivid colours throughout. The work is window-mounted and presented in a simple gilt frame, housed under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
