Condition

Not viewed out of the frame. The sheet appears to have been affixed to a backing card. The sheet appears sound. The edges of the sheet are uneven inkeeping with the artist's working materials. There is a faint vertical line of discolouration, parallel with the upper left edge of the sheet. There is some craqueluere to the thicker areas of the gouache, as well as some small flecks of loss, most apparent in the dark red painted areas. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good condition. The work is float-mounted in a white wooden frame, with a linen-covered slip, under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
