Condition

Not viewed out of the frame. The sheet appears to be laid down onto the mount. The sheet appears sound. The edges of the sheet are slightly worn, with several very light creases in the bottom right quadrant, and an extremely small nick to the centre of the upper horizontal edge. There is some very light surface dirt, and one or two extremely small spots of foxing in the upper right quadrant. The sheet appears to be slightly time-stained, indicated by the lighter paper visible around the edges, indicating that this possibly occurred whilst in a previous frame. The graphite is strong and stable and, subject to the above, the work is in very good overall condition. The work is float mounted and presented in a painted wooden frame, held under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
