Condition

The sheet is sound. It is not laid down but is attached to the backing in the upper corners. The sheet cockles slightly. Out of the mount one can see each corner is very slightly creased and the sheet is not an even cut. There appears to be a small spot of foxing above the horizon near the left edge, two minor spots in the face in the upper right quadrant and another a few centimetres left of the top of the face. Otherwise the work appears in good original condition with strong colours throughout. Held under glass in a lightly stained wooden frame with a stone coloured mount.
