Condition

Not examined out of the frame. The edges of the card are uneven. This appears to be consistent with the artist's working materials. On close examination it is possible to see some craquelure in the blue pigment beneath the boat. There is also some rubbing to raised areas of impasto and two small scratches in the upper right corner. Traces of surface dirt are visible in areas across the sheet. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good and original condition. The work is float mounted on a wooden board and presented in a simple square profile wooden frame.
