naturalistically carved in the form of a section of bamboo with a curved node forming the undulating lower edge and two leafy sprays extending along the sides and wrapping the top, one side inscribed with junzi zhifeng ('Conduct of a Gentleman'), the reverse with qing lang gan ('Green bamboo'), the finely polished stone of an even white colour, pierced to thread a string further embellished with a coral bead

The pendant is in very good overall condition.
