- agate
carved in openwork with a large and a small monkey grasping a fruiting spray of peach, the smoothly polished stone of a pale beige colour with the eyes of the larger ape and a leaf on the reverse picked out in a darker vein
Condition
There are two minute chips to the lower edge of the leaf on the reverse. Otherwise the pendant is in good condition. The stone is almost flawless and the polish particularly fine.
