Description

of ruyi form, finely carved in low relief on one side with archaistic scrollwork evoking the face of a mythical beast with a large forehead, hooded eyes and a finely incised mane, the reverse similarly carved with angular archaistic scrolls flanking a vertical panel inscribed with the four characters hufu chengrui ('May the tiger tally bring auspiciousness'), the upper edge pierced to thread a string, the smoothly polished stone of even white colour  

Condition

The pendant is in good overall condition, minute extremities nicks as can be expected.
