Condition

There is an old glue relining which is firm and stable. paint surface is under a yellowed varnish. overall there is very good retention of the paint surface with nice detail in the architecture and figures. examination under UV light reveals some small retouches in the sky at far right, and some small inpaints to craquelure in clouds and the umbrella at center. one or two very small retouches can be seen in architecture at left side, and there is some retouching along edges. there are possibly some older re-workings in the sky, but it is hard to tell through the old varnish. In a black and gold frame with some losses to the gilding
