This painting repeats the heads and torsos of three figures from the far left side of a painting by Jean-François de Troy, dated 1744, depicting the Battle of Jason Against the Soldiers Sprung from the Teeth of the Dragon, now in the Musée des Augustins, Toulouse (in. RO 290).
